Turn is a cannabis company based in Southern California. Joining early into the companies time, Have created the brands visual identity which consists of a clean, minimalistic aesthetic that isn’t afraid to step outside of it’s comfort zone.
During this process, I have helped in creating packaging for disposable pens, pods, and others along with digital and print media it assist our sales team in securing new buyers and displaying deals on product.
Other responsibilities included creating a custom typeface, product ideation, icon illustration, logo design, and brand promotional assets.

When I joined the team at turn, I was presented a major problem: the original typeface was optically off and they wanted something completely custom. There was only one way to accomplish this goal and that was to start from scratch with the knowledge that the brand wanted something clean and simple like helvetica, geometrically perfect like futura, but nuanced with humanist elements to tie in the human aspect of the brand.
This lead to the creation of a typeface with a balance of geometric proportions blended with optically pleasing alterations to the geometry such as the exponential curves found on the crossbar of the “t”.
